Q: What does ACE CoLab mean?
A: ACE stands for Adventure. Connect. Evolve. We believe adventure is the catalyst for transformation, connection is the path, and personal evolution is the result.

Q: What services do you offer?
A: We provide personalized instruction, guided adventures, retreats, custom trip planning, outdoor education programs (skiing, snowboarding, climbing, kayaking, hiking, yoga), and personal development coaching.


Programs & Coaching

Q: Do I need prior experience to participate?
A: Our programs are designed for all levels and fully customizable. We’ll meet you where you’re at and help you progress safely.

Q: Are coaching sessions only outdoors?
A: We offer in-person adventures, online experiences, and hybrid programs that blend both.

Q: How do I book a session or retreat?
A: You can contact us directly through our Contact Page/Email or check upcoming event listings on our site.


Safety & Liability

Q: What safety measures do you take?
A: Safety is our top priority. All programs are led by certified guides and coaches with years of experience. We follow best practices for risk management, group safety, and outdoor leadership. In come cases, we may partner with third party companies as required.

Q: Do I need to sign a waiver?
A: Yes. All participants must sign our Release of Liability Waiver before joining activities. This ensures everyone understands the inherent risks of outdoor adventure.

Q: What if the weather or conditions are undesirable?
A: Weather and conditions in nature can be unpredictable. ACE CoLab makes no guarantee of weather, terrain, or other acts of nature. In some cases, activities may be modified, rescheduled, or credited for future use at our discretion. We recommend purchasing insurance to protect your investment.


Logistics

Q: Where are your programs based?
A: ACE CoLab is based in Truckee, California, near Lake Tahoe. We also travel around the world for custom coaching and retreats. Contact us to come to you or suggest a location!

Q: What should I bring?
A: A packing list is provided for each program, but generally you’ll need personal essentials such as proper clothing and footwear. Specialized equipment may be available to rent or borrow upon request.

Q: Do you offer group discounts or custom programs?
A: Yes. We design custom retreats, corporate team-building events, and private group trips. Reach out for details.


Payment & Pricing

Q: How much do your programs cost?
A: All ACE CoLab services are offered on a sliding scale so you can choose the rate that fits your situation — Supporter, Standard, or Accessible. We trust our community to choose with honesty and integrity.

Q: What is your refund policy?
A: Programs and sessions are generally non-refundable. Trips and retreats may be refundable up to a set number of days before the start of an event. For weather or force majeure events, we may reschedule or offer credits, but refunds are not guaranteed. We recommend purchasing trip insurance to protect your investment.

Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: At this time, we accept Venmo and cash. Our Venmo handle will be provided upon booking.

A: We occasionally provide scholarships or work trade for specific programs. Contact us to learn more.
